The DS-1401 builds upon the advanced foundation of the DS-1400 series, offering enhanced expandability for diverse industrial applications. Powered by 12th/13th Generation Intel Core processors on the LGA1700 socket with the Intel R680E chipset, it provides excellent processing capabilities for the most demanding tasks. This system supports up to 96GB of DDR5 5600MHz memory, including ECC support, and offers versatile storage options with two 2.5" SATA drive bays, three mSATA slots, and an M.2 slot supporting both PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe and SATA SSDs.

A standout feature of the DS-1401 is its expansion capability, featuring a single PCIe/PCI slot for integrating additional functionality. This expandability is complemented by dual GbE LAN ports (Intel I219 and I210), two USB 3.2 Gen2x1 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1x1 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, and two RS-232/422/485 serial ports. The system supports quad independent displays via HDMI, dual DisplayPort, and VGA outputs, offering flexibility for various industrial visualization needs.
