Overview

ADEK manufactures industrial rack-mount PCs and chassis for environments prone to shock, vibration, high temperatures, dirt, and dust — and we still build the slot-based systems that keep older machines and test equipment running. Choose a form factor, pick the slot architecture your cards need, and we configure the rest.

  • Rack-mount industrial computers — 1U, 2U, 3U, 4U, and larger chassis, including short-depth systems and models with front-access I/O.
  • Rack-mount servers for control rooms, data logging, and SCADA.
  • Legacy slot systems — PICMG 1.0 and PICMG 1.3 single-board computers on ISA, PCI, PCI-X, and PCIe backplanes, plus ATX motherboards with ISA or PCI slots.
  • Wall, panel-mount, and desktop alternatives when a rack is not the right home.

Legacy Slot Systems: ISA, PCI, PICMG

When the machine controller, motion card, or test fixture only exists as an ISA or PCI card, the computer has to provide the slot. ADEK keeps these architectures in production and supports both legacy and modern platforms.

PICMG 1.0 — ISA / PCI

Single-board computer plugs into a passive backplane that supplies the ISA and PCI slots. The classic path for ISA-card machine controllers.

PICMG 1.3 — PCI / PCIe

Modern processors on a system host board, with backplanes mixing PCI, PCI-X, and PCIe slots for current-generation cards alongside legacy PCI.

ATX Motherboards with ISA or PCI Slots

Long-life industrial ATX boards when a backplane is overkill but the card still needs a native ISA or PCI slot — used in our rack-mount, desktop, and tower chassis.
