Transportation Applications

Roadside ITS & Signal Cabinets

DIN-rail and wall-mount nodes that ride out cabinet heat and winter cold without fans or filters.

Tolling & ANPR Lanes

PCIe/PCI slots on the DS-1202 take the frame grabbers and capture cards lane systems depend on.

Passenger Information Displays

One DI-1200-i5 drives up to four independent displays at stations, stops, and terminals.

Rail Wayside & Trackside

EN 50121-3-2 EMC-rated models for monitoring and signaling equipment near the track.

Depot & Yard Operations

Optional ignition sensing (CFM module, 12V/24V selectable) for service vehicles and yard equipment.

Transit Surveillance & Recording

Hot-swap RAID storage on the DX-1200 records multiple camera streams at stations and park-and-rides.

Built for Transportation Duty

Industrial computers in transportation infrastructure

Certified for the Transportation Environment

Transportation electronics live next to traction power, radios, and vehicle electrical systems. All four models on this page carry EN 50121-3-2 (railway EMC) and EN 50155 (rolling-stock electronics); the DI-1100-i7, DI-1200-i5, and DX-1200 add E-Mark vehicle approval, and the DX-1200 carries EN 45545-2 railway fire-protection compliance.

Power is engineered for the same reality: 9–48 VDC wide-range input with over-voltage, over-current, and reverse-power protection on every unit, plus optional ignition sensing for vehicle-fed installations.

Cincoze industrial PC powering smart bus passenger information displays

One Box Behind Every Passenger Information Display

Passenger information runs around the clock in unconditioned spaces. The DI-1200-i5 drives up to four independent displays at 3840×2160 from a 15 W, 10-core CPU and holds -40°C to 70°C at 100% processor load without a fan. Dual SIM slots plus an M.2 B-key socket accept a cellular modem card for stops where wired backhaul never arrives.

Need recording alongside display duty? The DX-1200 adds 8× USB 3.2, 4× RS-232/422/485, and RAID-protected hot-swap storage.

Cincoze modular CMI and CFM expansion modules

Expansion Without a Second Enclosure

Roadside and wayside cabinets rarely have room for a second box. Mini-PCIe and M.2 sockets take cellular, Wi-Fi, and GPS cards inside the chassis, and Cincoze CMI/CFM modules add I/O such as power ignition sensing (12V/24V selectable) without redesigning the enclosure.

  • DI-1100-i7: 2× Mini-PCIe, 2× SIM slots
  • DS-1202: 2× PCIe/PCI slots, 3× Mini-PCIe, 2× SIM slots
  • DX-1200: 2× Mini-PCIe, M.2 E-key, 1× SIM slot

DIN-rail, VESA, and wall mounting are standard on the DI and DX models shown here, and every unit runs from 9–48 VDC.

Transportation Computer FAQs

Which certifications matter for a transportation installation?
EN 50121-3-2 covers electromagnetic compatibility in railway environments, EN 50155 covers electronics on rolling stock (temperature, humidity, shock, and vibration), E-Mark indicates approval for road-vehicle use, and EN 45545-2 addresses fire protection in railway applications. All four models on this page carry EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2; the DI-1100-i7, DI-1200-i5, and DX-1200 add E-Mark, and the DX-1200 also carries EN 45545-2.
Can these computers run from vehicle or battery DC power?
Yes. Every featured model accepts 9–48 VDC wide-range input with over-voltage, over-current, and reverse-power protection. For battery- or ignition-fed installations, an optional CFM module adds power ignition sensing with 12V/24V selection, so the computer powers up and shuts down with the vehicle or equipment it serves.
How does a fanless computer survive a roadside cabinet in summer and winter?
The extruded-aluminum chassis acts as one large heatsink that conducts processor heat to external fins, so there is no fan to clog with dust or fail. The featured models are rated for -40°C to 70°C ambient operation; on the socketed DS-1202 and DX-1200, the full range applies to 35 W TDP processor options, and higher-TDP options are rated to lower maximum temperatures.
Can I add cellular connectivity for remote sites?
Yes. The DI-1100-i7, DI-1200-i5, and DS-1202 have two SIM card slots each, and the DX-1200 has one. A cellular modem card installs internally via Mini-PCIe (DI-1100-i7, DS-1202, DX-1200) or M.2 B-key (DI-1200-i5), giving remote roadside or wayside sites network backhaul without a separate gateway box.
Which model is best for tolling or ANPR lanes?
Start with the DS-1202 if the lane uses frame grabbers or specialty capture cards — it has two PCIe/PCI slots plus three Mini-PCIe sockets. If you need maximum processing headroom or RAID-protected recording instead of add-in cards, the DX-1200 supports 12th/13th Gen processors up to Core i9, up to 96 GB of DDR5 memory, and RAID 0/1/5/10 across hot-swap bays. Tell us your camera count and software stack and we'll recommend a configuration.
Do you help with configuration and volume programs?
Yes — tell us your requirements and we'll configure memory, storage, OS, and expansion to match. We also support OEM and volume programs; mention quantities in your request and a US-based engineer will reply within one business day.
